Project Name: Benson: Past, Present and Future

Goals: reviewed and edited

Brian and Phil commented on the goals, products and process outlined.

The goals being very detailed, the products being well thought out yet needing more products for the future and the process needing more details.

David expresses his thoughts about the committee being concerned with establishing dialogue with the community about the past and present. This process will help us to define the future. Much discussion.

“Conservation” can be interpreted in many ways ... need to outline what is appropriate.

Phil stresses that VLT needs a product that will guide them.

Questions to direct to the community:

What do you value?

What do you want to keep?

What would you miss the most if it were gone?

Claire - In the list of products, one product that involves getting information for VLT-summary that articulates: Comes in #4 written report.

Has not yet started interviewing Benson residents. Has begun gathering data from outside sources.

PLACE will have data for the school and informational materials. Also data for map.

What are the processes to get us to the product?

Combination of outreach should engage the public.
