Claire Dacey Claire represents the PLACE Program a community education program for Vermont towns. The PLACE (Place-based Landscape Analysis and Community Education) Program will provide residents with a forum for exploring and understanding the natural and cultural history of Benson’s landscape. As a PLACE staff member, Claire has developed an integrated series of presentations, field trips, and printed materials designed to facilitate residents' understanding of the natural and cultural history of Benson’s landscape.
Phil Huffman Phil is a private planning consultant. He has had extensive experience in a variety of community involvement and conservation initiatives in Vermont and elsewhere. Phil has worked in collaboration with Brian Shupe in helping the Steering Committee identify the community’s vision of Benson’s future.
Brian Shupe Brian is also a private planning consultant. He works for Burnt Rock, Inc., Associates in Community Planning. Brian has experience providing professional planning assistance to small cities and rural communities. He has assisted municipalities, regional and state agencies, non-profit organizations and citizen groups with land use planning, development regulation, community development, cultural and natural resource protection, landscape preservation, public policy, and growth management. Brian has worked in collaboration with Phil Huffman in helping the Steering Committee identify the community’s vision of Benson’s future.
