Claire Dacey presented the first of four events in the PLACE (Place-based Landscape Analysis and Community Education) Program, sponsored by the Benson Conservation Committee. Forty two people attended to learn about Benson's geology and how that shaped the way Benson is today.

Those attending were asked to complete a short questionaire about the program and the results are available at the link above.

Everyone enjoyed the event and said they learned a lot.

All attending gave enthusiastic thanks and applause to Claire Dacey for her clear and interesting explainations of the geological history that has resulted in the varied and surprising physical landscape of Benson.
